What makes osteopathy special?
Osteopathy aims to restore the natural balance between structure and function in the body. Complaints such as back pain, tension or digestive issues can often be treated with a whole-body view. Our therapists use precise techniques tailored to your needs.
Gentle mobilisation
Releasing restricted movement in muscles, joints and fascia.
Activating self-healing
Supporting the body’s own recovery mechanisms.
A holistic perspective
Treating causes rather than symptoms, for lasting results.
Cover by private and statutory health insurance
Private insurance
Private health insurers usually cover our treatments in full when billed under the scale of fees for Heilpraktiker (GebüH). A doctor’s prescription is not required.
Statutory insurance
Rules vary by health insurer. Check in advance what applies to your fund. For a reimbursement claim you usually need a doctor’s prescription. This is still a private service, so full cover is not guaranteed.
We are members of the BVO association, which improves the chance of reimbursement. Patients should still expect costs of around 80 to 100 euros per treatment.
Why osteopathy at Recovery Base?
Our practice in central Munich combines expertise with individual care. A holistic approach and many years of experience help us give you the best possible treatment.
Because little bodies need special attention.
Gentle support from the start: pediatric osteopathy in Munich
Birth and the first years of life are phases of rapid development. Strong forces act on your child’s sensitive body. Sometimes they lead to restrictions or tension that show up as restlessness, sleep issues or digestive complaints.
Our pediatric osteopathy starts right there: with especially gentle, attentive hands we find functional restrictions and support your child’s natural self-healing — from newborns to teenagers.
When does pediatric osteopathy help?
Infants’ and children’s bodies are constantly growing. Osteopathy can be a valuable, gentle support in every developmental phase.
For infants & babies
- After difficult, very fast or long births (e.g. vacuum extraction, caesarean)
- For ongoing crying, restlessness or sleep problems
- For preferred postures (e.g. KiSS syndrome, asymmetrical head position)
- For digestive issues such as three-month colic or frequent spit-up
- For breastfeeding or sucking difficulties
For toddlers, schoolchildren & teenagers
- For developmental or growth delays
- Alongside orthodontic treatment (braces)
- For postural issues or misalignments
- For recurring headaches, concentration problems or infections
- After falls, sports injuries or accidents

In the best hands
Expert care from Chris Jung
In our practices at Viktualienmarkt, Stachus and Ludwigsvorstadt we give your child the most valuable thing: time.
Pediatric osteopathy needs deep expertise, calm and specialised training. To keep the highest quality of care for the youngest patients, this sensitive area is handled exclusively by our twin dad and practice owner Chris Jung (physiotherapist, osteopath & Heilpraktiker).
Every session starts with a thorough history (anamnesis) covering pregnancy, birth and current development. Examination and treatment then use minimal, gentle pressure. We never force anything — therapy follows your child’s pace and needs, often playfully or on a parent’s lap.
